Live it loud!

Memorial

Life is cruising along at a fairly slow and comfortable pace.

This morning I took a stroll along the road between Bridgetown and Holetown. I found this memorial to an event that I don't remember.

On 6th October 1976 a Cubana DC8 was brought down after leaving Grantley Adams airport, Bridgetown bound for Jamaica. Seventy three were killed including the whole of the Cuban international fencing team.

All those killed have their names etched in this marble memorial.

The view from here is stunning and a great place for their memories to have a focal point.
