Blue and green

Another busy day, but still with time for a walk along the river, which is finally just about passable, with a few jumps over muddy hollows. The last bout of flooding has wrecked the boardwalk again, so there was also a bit of balancing on some rather precariously angled slats!

The water-birds seemed to be having a feast - I watched a heron devour a large roach and a cormorant eat an eel, which seemed to cause some discomfort as it was being swallowed. 

But today I decided to go along with the Thursday Abstract challenge, as I loved the simple shapes and colours of this image.
