Crispy light batter smothering a firm slice of fresh, sweet tasting North Sea cod. Laid over a bed of moreish lightly browned chips and salted to taste. Add a squeeze of fresh lemon, a tangy caper loaded blob of tartare sauce and eat slowly. Refresh the taste buds when necessary with a swill of scalding English breakfast tea.
