Building a city

I went into town this evening and walked in parts I haven't been in since before the Feb 2011 earthquake.

I didn't go far but what struck me many of the buildings will be higher than the ones they're replacing. Not high rise, maybe 4 or 5 levels. I guess that's either low or mid-rise. It will be a very different looking city. This one looks interesting with its curves and swerves.

My friend Tom spoke about his families journey in simple and sustainable living. It was inspiring and thoughtful. He still makes stellar beer and I look forward to visiting him and checking on the quality ;-)
