Are Longhorns Coming?

This week we were startled by news on the radio, television and in newspapers. In the east of the country Longhorns were detected. These are a serious threat to the plants and the trees.
This morning, during a brief dry period in between the showers, I saw one of the flowering daisies in the garden ... a horned beetle!
After some searching, I was somewhat reassured. This appears to be species of flower longhorns (Stenurella melanura). They are very common flower-visitors, feeding on pollen and the nectar ... ;)
