Ruffled Feathers

I had heard that a Great Blue Heron was frequenting the park again so I decided to drop by late this afternoon.  It was there and I got plenty of shots.   I liked this one in particular which was captured as it performed its evening toilette. It's better in "large."  I thought this was a good warm-up for my upcoming trip to join the Band of Blippers in Florida .  See the extra a shot of the Heron's dinner which looks like a small catfish.  Two more sleeps!
