You tend not to notice.

We pass these trees quite regularly.
I have done a series, spread over a number of years, featuring these ones.
The ones in the picture I only noticed today as a result of:-
1. Walking past rather than driving.
2. The fact that, not unlike me, they were "a wee bit thin on top".

What I am more than a little curious about why "they" gave these such a light trim, as opposed to "a #4 all over".
