Quiet reflections

I spotted this wee boy and his Grandad looking in the Round Pond at Arduaine this afternoon and asked if I could take their photograph. 

There were watching wildlife, and I pointed out the water boatman and also the whirligig beetles and told the boy about their special eyes which could see above and below the water at the same time. When I suggested that this would be very useful to a swimmer he looked up earnestly and said 'If a mermaid had eyes like that she could see the rocks above the sea and the rocks under the sea at the same time'!
