Art in Bloom

The August birth flower is the gladiolus which means sincerity and symbolizesstrength of character. Love at first sight is what the hidden message of this flower was during the Victorian era.


Today is our Garden Club's Art in Bloom exhibit and program at the Senior Center in town. We'll display our pieces, there will be a small demonstration by our Club President on basic flower arranging followed by light refreshments provided by the center.

My painting of Nora & Gordon is still a work in progress, but completed enough to work as my art piece. My grandfather raised glads here and adored them. I used them just for you, Grampa.

Thoughts today for T's sister, C, undergoing some surgery, for G flying to Turkey alone to join our Swedes on holiday( after bidding all his UK friends farewell). He'll be home on July 29th! Celebratory thoughts for a longtime friend, DR, she's 65 today!
