One for #Apprentice geeks: a mosque alarm clock!

Each year I show my Creative Writing MA students an episode of The Apprentice UK in which contestants run round Morocco trying to buy ten items, including a green mosque-shaped alarm clock. It's a way to demonstrate five act structure, and is a useful stop-gap session for while I'm at the autumn graduation ceremony.

One of our graduates who lives in the Middle East brought me a mosque-shaped alarm clock as a comedy gift. Sadly, the interior was rusted and so couldn't take a battery, so I never got to hear the call to prayer alarm...
