Greengages in the making
My two greengage trees are now covered in blossom which promises a good crop later in the year, so long as the woodpigeons don't eat all the flowers which they are prone to do. Last year we hardly got any fruit but in previous years we have taken up to 30lbs of fruit off the lower half of the trees and left almost as much again on the higher branches which are difficult to reach.
A glorious day today; I sat outside to read the paper this afternoon and had the top down in the car on the way to the swimming pool this morning. I suspect it won't be as warm tomorrow, judging by the forecast I've just seen.
