Time to learn about Mono.

Soon I will have had this Bridge camera for two years. I don't use auto very often having learnt something about Programme and Aperture Priority. But it struck me that it has lots of other modes and perhaps it is time to learn something about black and white which I believe is now called mono. Is colour stereo?

Any way on a typical grey morning here is a first attempt.
