Open Space.

A quick pic of a part of our town that is known as The Stray. 200 acres of land around the main urban "old town" of Harrogate.

Under the Enclosures Act of 1770, the control and management was established of 200 acres of open common in Harrogate for time immemorial.

From 1933 The Stray Defence Association has safeguarded the Stray to uphold the Act granting freedom of the Stray to all people for all time.

The whole area is well maintained and used for a variety of activities and events. We are very lucky to have this Open space and is enjoyed by everybody everyday.
