Welcome back, little one!

This fritillary came from my parents' garden in North Lincolnshire 12 years ago. It's the only survivor of the handful that travelled all the way down to South Devon. Each spring I wait with bated breath for its reappearance, and breathe a sigh of relief when its lovely little flower heads open. It's in a garden tub with tête-a-tête daffodils, and self-set wild garlic.
