Mallard Mum

Well the builders arrived early this morning and moved on apace! I would have posted the Day 2 photo but took my powershot to work with me today and couldn't resist this one of the mallard sitting on her nest, built on a ledge right outside the Education Centre.

For the first time ever today I picked some flowers from my garden for the house. I have never had a big enough garden, or indeed enough flowers growing in it to pick, and although the bulbs were all planted by someone else before we got here, it felt good!
