Queue!

Lord, I hate queues. 

One of the best pieces of advice I ever received was from my friend Colin, who went to university a year before me. He advised me that Fresher's Week would be non-stop queuing and that I should buy a Sony Walkman before I went. I took his advice and barely took that device off for the next three years. 

These days I combat unavoidable queues by looking at Instagram, Twitter and Facebook (in that order) but I'll still avoid a queue whenever I can. Today, the Minx and I stopped at Norton Canes services to get a bite to eat but, even though I was hungry, I'd have happily gone without rather than queue. 

Luckily (for me) the Minx is not quite so intransigent.
