Modern mountain architecture

This is where modern architecture meets 15th century Swiss alpine historic village. The old houses in the village have such character (inside and out), and new grows up alongside old. For me this is a fine example of great design, without losing contact with the environment. I am always pro natural materials and stone is a better choice than wood when we spend the majority of the year banned from using barBQ sites and making forest fires, due to the dry climate.
