High on Harter

Arrived at Haweswater early on Friday amidst changeable weather and low cloud. 

We stayed dry despite walking in the clouds and ascended Harter Fell. Got chatting with a man who'd lived nearby but had never climbed a mountain until that day, days after his retirement. He planned to do all the Wainwrights (not all on that day.... at least I don't think....)

Love fellwalking - it's a different world :o)

After a bit more of a wander around Haweswater we went back the Haweswater Hotel for a few drinks, some good food and a great sleep!
