Place Setting

More work from my sketchbook 2007/2008. As of yesterday, I have decided on a 'mini-blip' project of work from my sketchbooks (and as for my 100th blip which is very soon, wait and see my friends, wait and see :))

I love playing about with mixed media and colour. The background was actually a teatowel, I thought in an appropriate colour :)

Today I was up and about early enough to catch the bright sunshine, and was mowing (albeit quite wet) the meadow lawn in my small front garden. I was very glad I did because low and behold 30 minutes later the heavens opened again. Managed to clear a few overgrown shrubs and weeds in my 30 minutes in the garden too, so I now have a tidier garden! What I don't like is all the bare patches where the local cats (including Billy) seem to like lying and the large anthill I uncovered too (I have a real fear of ants coming in the house)

Still no luck with the paperwork, and now I've looked almost everywhere....in real danger of losing my Tax Credits :(

Looking forward to my weekend off, and although I was planning to overhaul my art stuff and actually do some craft or decorate under the stairs and sort out craft storage area :) (depending on my knee disability and pain levels), think I will still be looking somewhere or other for the elusive paperwork...

Also looking forward to a friend coming to meeting up with a friend who is visiting for the weekend (and preaching at all the services on Sunday too!) for breakfast on Saturday and the local Waterways Festival on Sunday, though I fear it could be extremely wet!!
