Torch!

The Olympic Torch Relay hit Deal this morning, so I was down there at 7.30am, baggsying my place to watch it go past in two seconds flat at about 8.40am!!

Lovely atmosphere, and everyone was enjoying the morning.

I came across a gentleman who had brought his torch from the 1948 relay, and this is it. John Bennett ran in Deal then, and is now 82 years old. It was actually quite heavy!
