Day 8 - Mary...

...used to be an opera singer. She was against me taking her photo initially as she said she is no longer beautiful, but old and tired. I disagreed and said she looked very beautiful and wanted to remember her and her very heavy green gate. Lewis and I closed the gate for her, which had lodged itself into the ground with a stubbornness only shown by drunk men. She was very pleased to have visitors but not pleased about the wet summer ruining her tomato crop.
