New Beginnings - Housing Development

The pipes and boards in the foreground are part of a new house very close to the one you can see under construction as well as two more that are visible beyond the larger house.  They are ready to pour the concrete slab on the foreground house.  Very few houses with crawl space foundations are built here.  This development is about a mile from our neighborhood, and it is amazing how many  houses they are putting on one tract of land.  Where are all the new residents coming from? There was recent newspaper article that listed the Myrtle Beach area as one of the fastest growing areas  in the US.  I believe we'll have houses for them based on developments like this one called Calabash Lakes.  I saw a couple recently who had been renting in our neighborhood but bought a house is this one.  They came here from Florida, but most of our new residents come from the northeastern US.  Thanks to Davidc for hosting MM.
