Bitsa History
The Coos County Logging Museum is one of my favorite tiny, but wonderful, spots in our county. Their door was open today, but I was at the end of my break when I noticed, or I'd have gone inside. It will be sad when the last of the old timers who really had hands on experience sawing down those huge trees is gone. There's nothing like first hard story telling in a little place like this. Times have changed & logging has changed, but this little building will go on telling the story for a long time. It's fashioned after the Mormon Tabernacle. No explanation as to how this connects with logging, but if I find out, I'll pass it along.
