A New Beginning .....

.... For the Rooks. 

A small Rookery above a busy road in Culcheth. Only nine nests, but with a bit of luck it will grow.

They are early nesters, and very noisy - seemingly oblivious to all the activity taking place below (and to being lit up at night from the street lamp). 

They've spent the last few weeks rebuilding after the winter storms, and are now sitting on eggs. The odd tail can be seen jutting out from the side of a nest or two.
