Tufted Duck

The small spot in the picture is a Tufted Duck - unfortunately I don't have the proper gear for photographing birds. It was  very nice spring day, Chaffinches were singing and the sun warmed body and mind. The ice is melting fast.

Today was the first day of Emma's TET (työelämään tutustuminen = familiarisation with working life). It is a program providing experience working in a real job, and it takes place in 8th and 9th grade. Each student can choose and apply to his or her job independently. The purpose of the program is to introduce students to real-life working environments. TET students have a six-hour workday.
Emma is working at Taito Shop Pirkanmaan Kotityö. The shop sells  both traditional and modern Finnish handicrafts. Her first work day was very good, she liked working there a lot!
