Aunt Rita

My Great Aunt Rita died recently after a short stay in hospital, following a stroke. Today was her funeral.
It was very sad, especially seeing my uncle Derrick, her husband, looking so frail and unwell. The family were very brave, although obviously distraught, particularly her granddaughter, Alice, who was obviously very close to her grandmother.
They certainly gave Rita a good send off and it was lovely to catch up with uncles, aunts and cousins who I rarely see.
This photo was on the back of the order of service and I was struck by how beautiful she was in her younger days.
