Spring Tide, Dunoon

Getting into Dunoon this morning I noticed that the tide was very low.

The present series of spring tides is causing disruption on various ferry routes made worse today by a strong and very cold wind that was making berthing difficult.

No matter the weather, however, the  campaign is now moving  into full delivery mode because the specially produced Argyll & Bute campaign newspaper has to get out to as many voters as possible over the next fortnight before the final push with identified positive supporters.   So this afternoon I was tramping the streets of Hunters Quay and then  Cathleen and I put out  more papers in the village of Clachaig .

The Royal Mail is also in the process of  distributing all the election addresses by the candidates as each party gets one for the constituency vote and another for the regional list.   Mine turned up at home today.

We will be delivering the newspaper again tomorrow  - probably in Tighnabruaich and Kames - and then on Wednesday the full run of hustings start  on Bute , followed on Thursday by Mull.
