Rook with swollen gular skin

Lunch with Mags today catching up with our latest take on the poor state of Further Education in Scotland, Marxism and feudal Scotland. Can't believe it but I forgot my camera:(   Didn't really matter because it's been raining on and off all day and is bitterly cold as well.  Captured this Rook through the kitchen window when I got home. You can see from the swollen gular skin at the base of his beak that he has cached away quite a feast for his mate later on!  He is my blip because I like the way the light reflects from his feathers.
