Bright lights

Another doctor's appointment today. This time with the eye doctor. Being diabetic, I have to have a dilated eye exam each year. This time I got the good news (?) that I get to have eye surgery. A few years ago, he told me I have cataracts, but very slow growing ones. Then, about two months ago, the vision in my right eye suddenly got very blurry. I don't wear glasses, and never have. I have always had very good vision. I thought sure he would tell me I have to have glasses. But, as it worked out, the cataract in my right eye suddenly took a turn for the worse. It can be corrected with surgery, and I still won't have to wear glasses. The surgery is scheduled for December 10th, so it's a ways away. They will take out the lens and put in an artificial lens. I'm not sure why I'm so averse to wearing glasses, but I was certainly relieved that I still won't have to. So, tonight I have "big eyes," and am very sensitive to bright light. Thus, a "bright lights" blip. Ahhh, this too shall pass!
