In Violet

This is a bit of an emergency blip - I ran to my neighbor's yard to shoot her hydrangeas just as the sky was thundering, lightning was flashing, the wind was blowing and drops were beginning to fall. My neighbor Ann, just turned 81 and is battling a stage 4 cancer. I feel badly for her with this recent turn of events, and I would like to preserve the flowers that she loved.

We had another 95 degree day but the storm helped to reduce the intense humidity we've been experiencing. Hopefully, we'll see more pleasant temps by tomorrow and I can resume my hedge pruning and weeding.
