Decampment

The pictured building housed the University of Maryland, Munich Campus, from 1958 until 1992 and was part of McGraw Kaserne, an US American military installation in Munich. After WWII and Germany's defeat and the ensuing occupation, the US Military moved into the old Reichszeugmeisterei, a former Nazi Party, SA, and SS structure. The Americans left the installation in 1992.

Today the old university building is vacant, while the rest of the area is home to the Munich police headquarters, a student dormitory, and was also used as a reception center for refugees during the most pressing times in the end of 2015.
