Westside

I spent the day with Grace and Michael, touring the westside of Lewis. We went to the Callanish Stones, where we were treated to a rainbow over the stones then had cake and hot chocolate in the visitor centre. Then the Gearrannan Blackhouse Village, the Carloway Broch and Dalmore beach, where Grace get very wet playing chicken with the waves!

Once it got dark, and before bed time, we took Grace outside to look at the night sky. To say she was impressed is an understatement! A genuine 'wow' at the amount of stars and being able to see the Milky Way. I loved being able to show her, right on my own door step. It was just a shame there were no northern lights, as Grace had been quite excited that she might see them.
