Pretty in Purple

Despite most of our hydrangeas adopting their autumn garb prior to dying there are a few that are bravely flowering. This lovely purple flower head is the last of any colour on its parent shrub.
With the weather becoming cooler we have been busy sorting and re-stacking last season's left-over firewood. This time last year we lit the wood burner on colder days. We did not have our heat pump installed until late in the season. This year we are able to switch on the heat pump when the temperature drops. Very convenient!
