Newbury Swans

We were up and out of our cottage at lightening quick speed this morning, and as a result arrived near Newbury at coffee and cake ish time. Newbury always reminds me of the business over the Newbury bypass (Swampy and all that - remember? - it's 20 years ago....) So we stopped and had a coffee next to the canal, lovely. Which is when I got the text to say that the plumbing under the bath had leaked while we were away. So we had a slightly fraught rest of journey home, including a detour for petrol and a rain storm. Bless him, Marc got straight onto fixing the leak, and our lovely neighbours had turned off the water so not much damage done. My beautiful new bathroom's not looking so good...

Never mind, everything else is fine. The wi-fi is super fast, the garden is looking lovely and the cats seem happy to see us.
