Tree Art ?

Tonight's upload just had to be this " face" in the tree trunk of a wonderful , old gnarled tree at the top of the path down to the River Kelvin , in the Botanical Gardens. Nothing done to it, this is how it looked on the tree.

So to today's events ;
A long day today , after travelling through horrendous weather over the Rest & be Thankful , which " thankfully" was still open despite warnings of landslide hazards. We arived at thr Royal Infirmary in Glasgow to be told the surgeeon had be called away to an emergency so all clinic appointments were cancelled. The receptionist did point out that they had phoned to tel us, but off course we had set off really early in case of a major diversion due to the landslide hazard. They now have my mobile number for next time.

Anyway that's life and I hope the emergency patient is not too ill now.

Making the most of our visit to Glasgow we had a wander around tthe St Mungo Museum of Religion and AReligious Art. I had been before but it was John's first visit. A wonderful experience and well worth a visit. Lunch in their cafe was excellent and the girls who served were very helpful and pleasant, sort of made up for missing the appointment and the need to come back to a rescheduled appointment.

I did have some fun getting traffic light blips as we were stopped at almost every traffic light on Great Western Road. The one which almost made it as tonight's blip was a bright, colourful image of the fruit outside the West African shop. Quite wonderful to see such a range of fruits, certainly brighrened up a dismal day.

Then on into the Botanical Gardens where I blipped so many interesting flowers . So much to blip tonight , even the roof inside the main building with so much pattern and shape caught my eye.

Torrential rain and heavy flooding most of the way home , but at least no landslide, so we made it home quite late but safe and sound, now time to relax and batten down the hatches against the stormy weather , perhaps a glass or two of wine and lots of interesting images to look back on.
