The Dream

Saturday 9th April 2016 (1323)

Out leading the walking group today, a smaller group than normal. We started at the Clock Face Country Park, walked past Old Bold Hall and then up to the Dream sculpture. It was a glorious, warm day and perfectly dry ... except underfoot. I was surprised how different the terrain was from when I walked it the other week. One gravel country lane was particularly odd as it kept acting like quick sand and we kept sinking into it just when we thought we were on solid ground.

The pub we originally wanted to go to wouldn't take a firm booking for 12 but we ended up in a wonderful, quirky pub instead. There wasn't a straight level or 90 degree corner anywhere. Wherever you walked in the pub you felt drunk because of the very uneven floor going at all angles. The food was wonderful.

Back home to finish preparing for tomorrow.
