And so the tine off work started properly; after a slow morning we picked up G and went to East Lothian - to Gosford to meet Val and her two boys Cian and Finn (8 weeks, a teeny tiny little bundle)
We paddled about in the mud and puddles; Maddie now confined to a lead much to her disappointment.

We chatted, lost shoes, got wet, threw stones, chatted, threw sticks, and generally had a good time. No rain, not much sun, and two of the three slept on the way home.

Dropped G; then home to pack for a cross border excursion on Wednesday.
