New Zealand's Wild West Coast
A stunning drive north to Westport today along a spectacular road with wild hills covered in bush on the right and the wild Tasman Sea on our left.
Then on up onto the Denniston Plateau to see the historic site of part of the coal mining story depicted in the novel The Denniston Rose by Jenny Patrick.
The view of this history and the Denniston Incline was sobering. (How easy we have it these days.)The view of the coast and the Tasman on this sunny day was a spectacular panorama.
