Beaver Alert

Well the Legacy Nature Preserve has added another critter to it's menagerie -- a beaver.  My daughter spotted him tonight while she was helping me hang my bird feeder.  I don't think I would have recognized him at all.  I wasn't really sure but my daughter was positive and when he got out of the water there was no mistaking the beaver tail.  He's a pretty swift critter and by the time I got the camera and got close enough he'd moved on.  One of these days my camera and I are going to take a nosedive into the pond if I'm not careful.  Maybe next time he'll crawl up on my side of the water.  I really do keep the camera by the door hoping for just such an occasion.
