10k run

There was a 10k run organized in the city today. Professional athletes, corporates, handicapped people, old young, rich, not so rich... everyone was there to participate. Due to the tragic events in Mumbai, there were lots of people who dropped out of the event (These days any large public gathering is a potential risk). There was much talk about the unity of the nation, banners against terrorism, flags and songs of a patriotic nature. There were rock bands playing Metallica, Pink Floyd, G 'n' R, etc lined up entertaining the runners, pushing them to run harder...

Despite the dull weather and the smog that covers the city like a veil, I am glad I went. Last time around I had run(read run and walked intermittently) the race. This time I decided to take the camera. So, I had no option but to walk.

Also, wasn't sure which photo to put, but perhaps today is an ideal day for a collage blip.

Was almost on the verge of putting this one up. But it does not depict the morning at all. So decided against it.
