Tubluar Bell

A shite morning but much achieved - cleaning and blogging ; but then the sun came out so yet more bramble clearing. We're getting the polytunnel covered- hopefully next week if the weather is okay, so I'm clearing around it in anticipation. Really we should cover it ourselves but we feel too old! About 12 years ago everyone seemed to be covering their polytunnels and we went from one house to another and had polytunnel parties. Blooming hard work but normally there was a feast at the end. Neither of us are feeling like massive amounts of digging and hauling so we're getting some men in! Consequently not a lot is happening in the poytunnel itself. The pheasant pecked off all my pea sprouts and puzzled why no broadbeans were shooting up, I have just inspected each plug and there's nothing in any of them!

Yesterdays conundrum - Angelshare and Spotsoftime were quite correct - a lobster pot spotted on the strand and jazzied up! No lobsters at home.

Today's offering is a rather lovely snakeshead fritillary and I seem to have captured a passing fairy.
