Titanic

Today we got up early and had a good breakfast before getting the bus to the Titanic exhibition.  We were able to use our ticket on the city tour bus as it is valid for 2 days.

The exhibition is fantastic.   The building itself, which I have blipped, is exactly the height of the liner, and as the  info on the ship being built is being displayed, we go upwards, culminating in its launch.  At this point the HG and I had a coffee break as this part had taken us 2 hours.

The next part showed the ship itself and accommodation at the three different classes and also for the crew.  Lots of pictures and virtual audio displays.

Then as the ship sinks we are heading down the floors and lots of info including personal stories of some of the survivors, fascinating stuff. Added a couple of extra photos

Back into the city centre courtesy of our city tour ticket (great value) and a quick meal before catching the airport bus.

Now at the airport waiting on our flight home.  It has been a short trip, but so enjoyable and interesting.
