Understanding a War

Although I left the American/Vietnam War over 40 years ago the need to understand Vietnam then, and now, has lead me on a journey of learning more history, culture and politics of both Southeast Asia and the United States. At a time when the war and the environment after returning home shaped me politically, it also helped shape an entire generation of people around the world. This image was created as symbol of that journey and my hope and desire for a peaceful world.
