Well hung

So here it is. My first solo exhibition of photos. It took about 2 and a half hours to hang, and the expertise of Dugald and Eloise - two very experienced artists - was invaluable.

The space is lovely: bang in the centre of town in one of the main public spaces so will be seen by lots of people.

I had, fortunately, been able to lay out the exhibition in the training room at work on tables put together in the same size as the display space and had numbered each image with the order in which it was to be hung. That really helped.

It was an enjoyable afternoon but pretty tiring. Just as we were having a relaxing coffee (Eloise) and juice (me) a young man started to play the grand piano. It was great! It's the piano that Sam will be playing at my 'meet the artist' session on Saturday.

Bearing in mind that Eloise is the Arts Coordinator (a voluntary role) for Norwich Pride, a working artist herself and that Dugald - another working artist - is putting the final touches to his new show 'Torrents of Rapture', their taking time out to help me was even more appreciated. But that's one of the great things about the Pride community - lots of cooperation and collaboration.

Oooh, there's a mighty storm brewing outside. Thunder, lightning, the lot .... time to dive under the duvet, methinks.
