Reach for the sky

Can never resist taking this native cabbage tree when I see it with the sun on it. It stands at the entrance to the retirement home where I go to visit my brother in law in Oamaru. Heading south to a funeral of a very special cousin taken far too young with the big C .
Staying at my sons tonight and will head south early tomorrow. Great not having to drive myself. Internet slow here so won't be much commenting
