April Journal Quilt

My journal quilts this year are done for a challenge on the Contemporary Quilt Group. They set the size at 8 x 10" portrait orientation and the requirement to add a purple patch to the first 4 monthly pieces. I choose to use tartan and tweed for my JQs and give them a folksy look with lots of hand stitching and embellishment with beads and buttons.
