Oh my gosh, it is a Quail

I was standing on my back deck when I looked out and saw this beautiful quail. I have never seen a quail in Oregon before, but I grew up on a farm in Central California so I knew exactly what it was. I didn't know that Valley (California) Quail lived up here! I think he is so interesting looking and he hung out in the back yard for awhile, I followed him until he went under a bush in my neighbor's yard. I hope to see him again. He seemed to be alone, but he did seem to be calling out to someone.......I assume another quail, right?
