Exploring caves in The Burren
Our time in Ireland was wonderful. The boys and I took our car on Irish Ferries, sailed the Irish Sea, and travelled Southern Ireland. We loved exploring and climbing mountains, but I wasn't excited about going IN them. In fact, it was a major fear of mine. I tried to distract the boys by taking them to a show about predatory birds. Still, they wanted to explore the caves. So we found a guide and explored a cave discovered 50 years ago. At one point our guide's light went out and we were in complete darkness. There were tiny spaces to climb between but we made it.
The next day we hit the Atlantic off the Dingle Peninsula to sail and search for dolphins. No more caves. We conquered it, but weren't in a rush to repeat it. Another fun day.
