Bad Hair Day

It was overcast and cool today so we decided to take the kids to the local zoo. It's called The Living Desert, full of different Cacti and desert animals. The highlight, though, is a sprawling miniature train set which captivated the boys as much as any of the animals. The rest of the day was spent playing store, blowing bubbles, squirting water bottles and just having fun. Bo had his first bloody nose when he slipped in some water on the floor, but other than that, the day went smoothly. Our daughters are strict about screen time which I completely agree with, but it sure is tempting to turn on a kid's show when I'm feeling a bit weary and just want a break! I didn't though!
