Knotwork

I have had a long interest in knotwork, as jewellery, in stone, or real rope knots. The books by George Bain, giving detailed instructions on how to reproduce these beautiful designs, provided me with hours of pleasure as I tried draw the patterns. This brooch was a gift at least 25 years ago and cherished, although it is so heavy that there are some outfits that are too delicate to take the pin.
